ABOUT US

Through our business centered on the safe delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG), we fulfill our mission of providing reliable and secure energy, contributing to the realization of an environmentally friendly and prosperous society.

SERVICE

Japan Energy Service Corporation (JESCO) was established in 1980, with Nissho Iwai Corporation (now Sojitz Corporation) as its principal shareholder, to manage LNG import operations under the Badak LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement (FOB basis) signed in 1981 between Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina, and Japanese LNG buyers. For LNG imported from Indonesia, we have been involved in a large number of loading and unloading operations for many years in the past.
As global LNG supply sources diversify, JESCO has expanded its services to include LNG from Australia, North America, and beyond. We are actively engaged in both loading and discharge port supervision for spot cargoes and new medium- to long-term LNG contracts, which have seen significant growth in recent years.
In addition, JESCO provides technical support to LNG buyers regarding various technical issues related to LNG tankers involved in LNG transportation contracts. Leveraging our knowledge and experience as a team of maritime specialists, we take pride in offering expertise that will be highly valuable for future LNG projects.

INTERVIEW

We are pleased to introduce four of our team members who are making significant contributions both in Japan and overseas.
